Emmanuel College Music Society has a range of instruments and musical equipment available for hire to May Ball Committees, bands, shows and concert organisers, including two drum kits, a double bass, two digital pianos, guitar and bass amps and up to 30 music stands. A PA system (with mixer and monitors) may also be hired for events taking place in the College grounds.

The Music Society has two drum kits available for hire. Our premium option is a brand new Mapex Tornado drum kit, which is reserved for hires and for ECMS events. We also hire out a Yamaha Gigmaker drum kit during May Week.
Please note that we cannot assist you with the set-up or removal of the drum kits after they leave the College site, and that you must take responsibility for organising suitable transport, such as a van or large car. They cannot be transported by foot.

These items are stored in stackable hardware boxes that have carry handles and wheels.
The Music Society has two Digital pianos available for hire. Our premium option is a brand new Roland FP-60 digital piano and our second option is a Yamaha P70 digital piano. Both have 88 touch-sensitive keys, a range of instrument sounds and built-in speakers. They are provided in a strong flight case which should be used whenever it is transported or stored, and come complete with a stand, sustain pedal, power supply and neccessary cables to connect to an amplifier or PA. An optional music stand is available which attaches to the keyboard, but as they are fragile please specify whether this is required, and when used extra care should be taken to avoid breakage. Please note that the flight cases require two people to lift.
The society has a large range of amplifiers available for hire. For Guitars, we have a brand new Boss Katana KTN-50 complete with onboard Effects and a Marshall MG250DFX Combo Amp. For Bass, we have a Fender Rumble 60, Laney Richter Bass RB3, and Redwood 25B amplifier.
Also availible are a T.Amp PA4080KB 4-Channel Mixer Amplifier, capable of taking microphone, piano and guitar inputs, and two T.amp MA120 MKII amplifiers able to take one XLR input for a microphone, suitable for lower volume applications.
Four-stringed, 'slim' 3/4-sized double bass (180 x 60 cm), with bow, rosin, and protective case. Note that this instrument doesn't have a low C string extension.
